Yee-haw!! Last night I went to bed salivating over pictures of Pyrex collections (try googling "Pyrex Collective", the blog posts will keep you up for hours!!).
I woke up this morning with a huge yearning to hit the thrift stores. Guess what I found at the FIRST thrift store!!!
Yippee!!! |
I carefully hand washed these casseroles and now I need to figure out where I can store these - as my Pyrex collection now exceeds the 2 shelves I had allotted in my kitchen.
...I need to caffeine up, and hit a few more thrift stores...wish me luck!!!
happy thrifting ;)
Yee-haw is right! Woot! Woot! Looks like you got your thrifty mojo hard at work, making magic happen. ;o)
ReplyDeleteThank you Katherine. Well, I spent all my thrifting money on that trip (I also spent $50 at Value Village on 'necessities'). So it's going to be a while until I thrift again. Good news is that I'm making headway on the quilt tops! Hope to post pics soon.

I have the large oval pyrex casserole and we've nicknamed it, "Big Blue" as in, "Go get Big Blue so I can make salmon pie". It was my mum's, and the only piece of Pyrex I remember her owning (she didn't cook much).
ReplyDeleteSo now we have matching Pyrex which makes us soulmates or something;)

Aw, Pyrex soulmates, I like that. Well your blog has inspired me to cook more. Alas, I have an empty nest these days - and my darling bf lives 4 minutes away, and he does the cooking. Yum, I like the sound of salmon pie, I'll have to google that!
